When a design has been approved by the Client, the next step is to convert the design to code. No pre-made templates, no visual editors, no off-the-shelf software. Everything is created by hand.
Throughout the process, we integrate various languages into the creation of a website. These languages include HTML5, CSS 3, PHP 5, MySQL, AJAX, jQuery, Ruby on Rails, Python, bash, and more. It may seem like doing Long Division, but hand-coding websites has profound advantages over a visual editor or automated website builder.
Most "web design" firms heavily rely on visual editors, like DreamWeaver, FrontPage, Joomla, WordPress, GoLive, and more. Although these are good for people who want quickly-built websites and may look "shiny and fancy", these softwares tend to show off their features instead of being productive.

Some of the advantages of hand-coding websites include unlimited flexibility, enhanced security, easier editing, increased potential for customization, and much more. Adding features to a visual editor is only possible if you know the in's and out's of the programming language, and if the program is open source. If the program is closed source, the only possibility for adding a feature is to have the software makers add it, then update the version of software you have (possibly for a fee).
Easier Editing?
Believe it or not, it is possible. When programming using plain HTML or using a Visual Editor, making one change site-wide requires the location, loading, editing, saving, and uploading/updating of each file which can take countless hours. Through our editing process, making one change site-wide takes around 30 seconds, and with us, there are no associated fees.
In addition, we offer Website Management as an additional service for our clients. There are many reasons why we offer this service, but we can sum up all of the reasons in just one statement:
We will take care of design issues, server errors, hacker exploits, domain renewals, SSL regeneration/validation, server space management, and more.
Search Engine Optimization
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is much more than having the right keywords here and there. Major search engines have a unique search algorithm which changes on a daily basis, so keeping on top of SEO is of vital importance. SEO consists of a mixture of:
- Linkbacks: The amount of websites linking out from your website, and the amount of websites linking back to your website. Extra points for *.gov and *.edu websites. Higher quality linkbacks can raise SEO
- Active Content: Having fresh content (frequent updates, news, alerts, etc) on a website means that a website is active and has more for visitors to check when they come back
- Social Media: Websites that are active on Social Media websites (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, etc) have more content discussed among visitors
- Proper and Unique Descriptions: Each page must have its own unique description between 50 and 150 characters (including spaces). If each page has the same description, Search Engines will think that each page is the exact same
- Title Tags: Along with the Description, each page should have a unique Title tag which relates to the content of that page
- Domain Existence: Has your domain been registered for a while, or just for a a few days? The longer it has been registered and active, the higher the ranking
- Page Amount: More pages means a higher ranking, but make sure the pages have quality content and not just blank files
- Copywriting: We employ a team of Copywriters who compose and/or edit your provided text in such a way as to attract the search engines
- ...and much more
